Warning Signs

When You Need Pool and Spa Wiring Help

Henderson's hard water and desert dust take a toll on pool equipment pads. We see corrosion at timer connections and pump wiring all the time, especially in older Green Valley homes. Monsoon surges in July through September also damage pool pump controllers and spa packs. If your pool light flickers, your GFCI trips often, or your spa heater won't stay on, don't wait. Bad wiring near water is a real shock risk, an inconvenience. Proper bonding and grounding matter more here than almost any other part of your home's electrical system.[1] We've corrected plenty of DIY pool wiring jobs in Whitney Ranch over the years.

There was no pre wiring above my dining room table to hang up a chandelier, and Bruce went above and beyond to make it happen. Now I have a chandelier in my dining area..It looks great!! I also had him add an extra outlet outside in my patio area to hang the TV up as well along with mounting the TV cover. It looks amazing. Bruce was professional and service was clean. His company is exceptional and he exceeded my expectations. Giving BRB a double 5 star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I solicited an electrician for a 125 foot, 40 amp outside run for my new hot tub. The first estimate came in at $3600, which I thought was pretty high. Bruce, of BRB electric LLC, did the whole job in about half a day for $2200. That’s still a lot of money, but it is a lot less than $3600. Bruce was personable and knowledgeable and did a very nice job, including cleanup. I would highly recommend Bruce and BRB electric LLC if someone needs quality electrical work.

Thanks Bruce

Bruce did electrical work for my husband. It was quite extensive and time consuming. He was fantastic. We have found our electrician for all our future electrical needs from now on. We do not need to look anywhere else. We are so glad we found him. He's polite and very knowledgeable. We've had other electricians but Bruce performed above them all.

Questions

Pool and Spa Wiring Questions

Here are answers to what Henderson homeowners ask us most.

  • How much does pool and spa wiring cost?

Most jobs run between $250 and $1,800 depending on scope. A simple pump circuit repair costs less than a full equipment pad rewire. We always quote the price before we start work.

  • How long does a pool wiring repair take?

Most repairs take two to four hours. Larger rewires with permits can take a full day. We'll give you a time estimate after our inspection.

  • Can I wire my own pool equipment?

We don't recommend it. Pool wiring needs correct bonding and GFCI protection to keep swimmers safe. We've fixed several DIY jobs in Whitney Ranch that skipped these steps.

  • How often should pool wiring be checked?

We suggest a check every two to three years, or sooner if you notice tripping breakers. Hard water corrosion speeds up wear on timer and pump connections here in Henderson.

  • Is bad pool wiring an emergency?

Yes, if you feel tingling in the water or see frequent GFCI trips. That's a shock hazard and needs same-day attention. Don't use the pool until it's checked.

  • What are signs my pool wiring is failing?

Flickering pool lights, tripping breakers, and a heater that won't hold temperature are common signs. Corroded connections at the equipment pad are another clue we check for.

  • Do you pull permits for pool wiring work?

Yes, Henderson requires permits for work touching main service equipment or new circuits over 40A. We handle the paperwork so your installation passes inspection.
