Bruce and his team handed the work required efficiently and quickly despite the age of the wiring the house. I will always recommend him for any electrical work required in the future!
If your Green Valley home still has original aluminum branch wiring, you should have it checked. It could cause a real problem.

Aluminum wiring was common in homes built through the 1970s. Plenty of Green Valley and Green Valley Ranch houses from that era still have it. It expands and contracts more than copper, which loosens connections at outlets and switches over time. That loosening causes heat buildup, and heat buildup causes fires. The Consumer Product Safety Commission has linked aluminum branch circuit wiring to higher fire risk in older homes[1]. We see this most in older central Henderson homes near Boulder Hwy. Warm outlet covers, flickering lights, or a burning smell near a switch are not things to wait on. Desert heat makes it worse. Attic temps here can top 150 degrees in summer, which speeds up insulation breakdown on old wiring even faster.
A warm faceplate or brown scorch marks mean heat is building up at a loose aluminum connection. This is one of the clearest signs we check for first.
Lights that flicker or dim without an obvious cause often point to failing aluminum connections somewhere in the circuit.
Homes built in the 1980s and early 1990s in Green Valley and Green Valley Ranch often still run on original aluminum branch wiring.
A faint burning odor near a switch or outlet is a sign of arcing. We treat this as an urgent call, not a maintenance item.
Lenders and inspectors often flag aluminum wiring during a sale. Replacing it ahead of time keeps your deal on schedule.
If you're upgrading your panel or adding an EV charger, we often find aluminum wiring. It needs updating at the same time.
Aluminum wiring issues don't fix themselves. They get worse as connections keep loosening with every heat cycle. We've worked on older Henderson homes near Boulder Hwy and throughout Green Valley. We know exactly what to look for and how to fix it right the first time.
Don't wait for a warm outlet to turn into something worse. Call now and we'll get your Henderson home's wiring checked and fixed by a licensed electrician.
We keep the process simple so you know what's happening at every step.
We check your panel, outlets, and switches for aluminum connections. We test for heat damage and loose terminals along the way.
We walk you through the scope of work and cost before starting. Then we pull the required City of Henderson permit.
We replace the aluminum wiring or add copper pigtail connections where needed. A final inspection confirms everything meets code.
Cost depends on how much of your home still has aluminum wiring and how it's set up. A full rewire costs more than adding copper pigtail connections at outlets and switches. Older Green Valley homes with original aluminum branch circuits usually need more work. A home with just a few affected outlets needs less. We give you an upfront quote before we start, and we never add surprise fees once work begins.

Bruce was very helpful in getting to the root of the problem with my portable ac units. He explained what caused the issue and went so far as to check another outlet that had been out for awhile. 10/10 recommend!
There was no pre wiring above my dining room table to hang up a chandelier, and Bruce went above and beyond to make it happen. Now I have a chandelier in my dining area..It looks great!! I also had him add an extra outlet outside in my patio area to hang the TV up as well along with mounting the TV cover. It looks amazing. Bruce was professional and service was clean. His company is exceptional and he exceeded my expectations. Giving BRB a double 5 star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Bruce showed up ahead of schedule and spent 10 minutes to identify and fix problem. Very courteous and friendly and knowledgeable. Very satisfied!!
I solicited an electrician for a 125 foot, 40 amp outside run for my new hot tub. The first estimate came in at $3600, which I thought was pretty high. Bruce, of BRB electric LLC, did the whole job in about half a day for $2200. That’s still a lot of money, but it is a lot less than $3600. Bruce was personable and knowledgeable and did a very nice job, including cleanup. I would highly recommend Bruce and BRB electric LLC if someone needs quality electrical work.
Thanks Bruce

Bruce was awesome to work with! He gave a very reasonable and accurate quote for the work to be done (Tesla charger.) He was also very deliberate in the work and made it very clear that I could contact him any time with any potential concerns. Highly recommend!
I purchased a new Tesla Y . Bruce installed the Tesla charging cord in my garage . He kept me informed of installation details. I’m going to have him install a new Ring Doorbell & transformer. He cleaned up the floor after installation. I strongly recommend Bruce with BRB Electric LLC.
Very professional, friendly, fast and fair prices. A few things in our house were broken or needed replacing (including new fans). The work was completed quickly and cleanly. We will entrust Bruce with our next projects as well.
Bruce did electrical work for my husband. It was quite extensive and time consuming. He was fantastic. We have found our electrician for all our future electrical needs from now on. We do not need to look anywhere else. We are so glad we found him. He's polite and very knowledgeable. We've had other electricians but Bruce performed above them all.
Here are answers to what Henderson homeowners ask us most about aluminum wiring.
Most jobs run between $500 and $5,000 or more depending on scope. Pigtail repairs at a few outlets cost less than a full home rewire. We give you an exact quote after inspecting your home.
A few pigtail repairs can take a few hours. A full rewire of a Green Valley home often takes two to three days. We'll give you a timeline before we start.
No, this isn't a DIY job. Henderson requires a licensed C-2 electrician and a permit for this kind of work. Mistakes here create real fire risk.
Yes, aluminum wiring is linked to a higher fire risk due to loose connections and overheating over time. That's why many insurance companies ask about it before writing a policy. Copper doesn't expand and contract the same way.
Warm outlets or a burning smell mean you should call us right away. Those signs point to active heat buildup at a connection. Waiting on this can turn into an electrical fire.
Watch for warm outlet covers, flickering lights, and discoloration around switches. A burning smell near an outlet is a serious warning sign. Any of these mean it's time for an inspection.
Not always. We often use copper pigtail connections at individual outlets instead of a full rewire. We'll tell you honestly what your home needs after inspecting it.
